Family Ministries at RB Community

HSM - SUNDAYS - 9:30 AM

Students meet in the High School Room for fellowship, worship, and a customized message thats made just for them! Sunday morning programs are a great way to connect for both new and old students. Join us for breakfast beforehand at 9:00am!

On the first Sunday of every month we join "Big Church" to share in communion as a whole congregation. Students are welcome to sit with their families, or come sit with their leaders and peers in the front left section in the Sanctuary.

HIGHWAY - WEDNESDAYS - 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Highway programming includes laughter, games, fellowship, worship, and small group Bible studies from the Gospels, and both the Old and New Testaments. Currently we are working through the Gospel of Luke! Highway leaders strive to help students develop their faith in Christ while making space for students who do not have a church home.

Students are welcome to hang out before Highway for dinner at 5:30 in the High School Cafe. Students can purchase a meal in the Fellowship Center for $10, or are welcome to bring their own!

A Celebration and More to Come…

“God is a friend you can trust.” My four-year-old, Joey, repeated this phrase as we pulled into the preschool this morning. He learned it last week at VBS, an experience\n\nThis would not have been possible without the dedication of Steven Karras and the rest of our family ministries staff, as well as the gift of time from 90 volunteers. Serving our young people and their families takes some extra work, but it’s worth it. VBS may be over, but there’s another event with lots of kids on campus coming up: Summer Theater. \n\nA few years ago, we struggled to enroll 20 kids for summer theater. This year, we are bursting at the seams with nearly 60 kids enrolled and 30 on the waitlist. Can I get an, “Amen!” for Olivia Donald and her team?!. This growth is exciting, but it means we need more volunteers to help. If you have special skills, like singing, sewing, painting, set design, or dancing, that’s great. If you don’t, that’s great, too! We need adults to be there for supervision, and to hopefully build relationships with the kids and their families. \n\nOn Youth Sunday, upcoming sixth grader Rachel White addressed the congregation on the topic of community. She said participating in theater makes her feel like she’s part of the church community. She also mentioned that if more adults helped with theater it would deepen the relationships and trust between the youth and the adult bodies of the congregation. This is our chance!\n\nSummer Theater runs two weeks, July 21 to August 2, Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. It’s a longer commitment, but you do not need to volunteer every day for the entire time. We gladly accept any help you can offer. More information can be found on the ...

Family Ministries Update

At RB Community, the blessing of community, growth, and support continues to thrive, all to the glory of our Heavenly Father. As we reflect on the many ways in which\n\nThe Children’s Ministry at RB Community Church is thrilled to announce the launch of \"Fun Friday,\" a monthly evening program designed to provide parents with an opportunity for a break while offering children an enjoyable and enriching experience. Our goal is to create a space where children can come together, forge new friendships, and find support in their journey of faith.\n\n\"Fun Friday\" is tailored for children from Pre-K through 5th Grade, offering them a night of fun activities. Our first night will be on February 23rd (details below). While parents enjoy a relaxing evening, their children will engage in various activities designed to nurture their physical, social, and spiritual growth. From exciting games to a special Bible teaching time and a fun, age-appropriate movie, every aspect of \"Fun Friday\" is crafted to ensure that children have a memorable and meaningful experience.\n\nIn addition to the engaging activities, children will also have the opportunity to enjoy delicious pizza, adding to the fun atmosphere of the evening. Our dedicated team of volunteers is committed to creating a loving and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.\n\nAt RB Community Church, we believe in the importance of providing families with opportunities to connect, grow, and experience joy with one another. \"Fun Friday\" is just one of the many ways in which we seek to support this mission, and we invite all families to join us in this exciting new venture.\n\nWe are grateful for the continued blessings of our Lord and the unwavering support of our community. We look forward to welcoming families to \"Fun Friday\" and to witnessing the impact it will have on the lives of our children and their families. Join us and experience the joy of community, the warmth of fellowship, and the blessings of our Father's love.\n\nYou can find details about our upcoming \"Fun Friday\" in the \"Youth\" section of the eNews!\n\nSteven Karras\nChildren's Ministry Director...
